Telecel Cash

Telecel Cash is the current and only correct name. Telecel Group took 70% of Vodafone Ghana in 2023, announced the full rebrand for end-February 2024 and completed it in March 2024; Vodafone Ghana Mobile Financial Services became Telecel Cash in the same exercise. The naming is still split across the market: betPawa says Telecel on its own cashier, verified first-party on 2026-08-09. The operators previously recorded as still printing 'Vodafone Cash', Soccabet, Premier Bet and BetFox body copy, were not re-verified in this pass and carry forward from the earlier reading; treat them as needing a re-check before any page names them. Nearly all affiliate copy, including pages purporting to describe betPawa, still says Vodafone Cash. SportyBet routes Telecel deposits through a voucher-code flow rather than a direct prompt, which is one step more than MTN.

It used to be called something else. This rail traded as Vodafone Cash until 2024-03. Operator help pages and affiliate guides across this market still use the old name, and one bookmaker's own cashier does.

How widely it is held

Telecel held 20.72% of Ghanaian mobile voice subscriptions, NCA June 2026.

Voice subscriptions, not mobile money accounts.

What it costs

On the bookmaker's side: free where published.

On the network's side, nothing is printed here. No Ghanaian network publishes a tariff in a form that could be checked against a bill, and a figure copied from an affiliate table would be a number about somebody's money with nothing behind it.

The ceiling above every book on this rail

A wallet has limits before a bookmaker does, and they are the Bank of Ghana's rather than anybody's who takes bets. On the lowest verification tier this rail can receive GH₵3,000 in a day and GH₵10,000 in a month, and hold GH₵5,000. The monthly figure is the one that decides a large win, because a payout split across consecutive days still lands inside the same month.

The full tier table, its effective date and what changed from the previous one are on the payments hub.

The network a payout lands on is not the network it has to stay on

Wallet money crosses between the three networks through the country's own switch, so the choice of which wallet a bookmaker pays into is low-stakes rather than irrelevant. What it does not do is let anybody pick a different network at the cashier: a payout goes to the wallet the account was registered with, and it is the tier ceiling above rather than the network that a large one runs into.

Questions about Telecel Cash

How many Ghanaian bookmakers take Telecel Cash?
nine of the 9 readable cashiers publish it, which is 100% of them. 4 more books on the register publish no cashier an outsider can read and are not in that denominator either way.
What does Telecel Cash cost to use for betting?
No tariff is recorded here, and that is deliberate. free where published, but what the network at the other end charges is not published in a form anybody could verify, so this page prints no figure rather than a plausible one.
What caps a large payout on this rail?
The wallet's verification tier rather than the bookmaker. On minimum verification the ceilings are GH₵3,000 in a day, GH₵10,000 in a month and a balance of GH₵5,000. Upgrading removes the monthly ceiling entirely, which is the only thing that helps, because splitting a payout across days does not.
